About who needs care: My father is in relatively good health. He has the start of short-term memory loss or dementia, but is taking medication. He lives alone as my mother passed away very recently in June. We did hire somebody to help, but shes not. but shes not very consistent and he goes without someone there. He speaks Spanish and English. He is hard of hearing. I think he would prefer someone who spoke both English in Spanish. He needs someone to help him, maintain the house, cooking and laundry and going shopping with him. Also just talking and chitchatting. He doesntHe doesnt have many hobbies or anything like that. He watches a lot of TV and news. He does like to listen to music. He is 71. my father is in relatively good health. He is hard of hearing. And is independent for caring for himself. He still drives and is an active part of our family. About the care needs: IIm looking for a female caregiver who would give his house a womans touch. She would need to be patient and comfortable with joking because he jokes all the time. It would be best if she was bilingual in Spanish and English. Age doesnt reallyAge doesnt really matter. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
