We're looking for someone kind and patient to spend time with our silly, fun-loving, occasionally grumpy mom, who's living with mid-stage Alzheimer's. Some days she's sharp and cracking jokes, and other days she's a bit confused or anxious. We try to focus on the good and keep her world calm and happy. The job involves companion care in our Redmond home, along with light housekeeping, simple meal prep, and an openness to the occasional bit of Alzheimer's improv comedy. She can manage personal care like using the bathroom independently, but we do offer gentle reminders. My dad, who is healthy, will be there in his office working or around for any questions or assistance, etc. She absolutely loves music and whistles throughout the day-- she can't help it. If you can share a laugh, be patient on the tougher days, you'd be a great fit!
