About who needs care: Recently diagnosed with dementia. Husband is full time caregiver and could use a break at least once a week. Still able to cook and manage household bills. Able to hold a long conversation but tends to repeat herself and has developed confabulation. About the care needs: Can take directions easily, does not share personal details or vent to clients regarding own issues, likes to cook, read and do puzzles. Kind, efficient, friendly does not talk incessantly or tell client what to do. Bathing skills would be very helpful. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
