About who needs care: He lives at home alone. He gets around his house okay, but doesn't walk very well outside of his house. He has a routine of sitting on the couch, and using the wall to walk around the house. He has dementia, and has had a couple of strokes. He's stubborn, but has a sense of humor. He's also, unfortunately, a hoarder. His house is very bad and gross. But he's lived there for so long, I would hate to take him out of the environment he knows that makes him happy. Anywhere else he wouldn't even be aloud to walk because of fall risk, but he never falls in his home. Even if he did, his hoarder stuff would likely break his fall. He needs to be checked on regularly and I live out of town, work 60+ hours per week, and he has nobody else. About the care needs: He hadn't been to a doctor in a decade. Then when he got dementia, I took him. He has a pcp now, but they've barely seen him, and he convinced them that he just wants to take a natural route. And live in his home until he dies. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
