About who needs care: My mother is a double below knee amputee. She has 2 prosthetics and under normal conditions, can walk and handle all of her necessary tasks but needs help occasionally with reaching/carrying things, especially up and down stairs. Sometimes she is limited to just one prosthetic due to medical problems and during those times shes still able to be largely independent (needs no medical help or personal care) but she has more task based needs during this time and sometimes needs help with errands or someone to drive her somewhere. Shes a very social person and would like someone who was willing to socialize while doing tasks for her as she lives alone. About the care needs: Friendly and social, willing to help her solve everyday problems. She is currently recovering from surgery but is living independently and doesnt need medical care as a result, only assistance with a few more everyday things as a result. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
