About who needs care: Diabetic, history of minor stroke, mild/moderate dementia, mobile but needs supervision and encouragement to do rehab exercises, needs lunch and snack prep, companionship About the care needs: Friendly and compassionate but not loud. Encouraging and supportive. Not sensitive because of his dementia effects. Comfortable with some cleaning tasks related to his personal care. He feels awkward with cares from women 50s and older/closer to his own age. Comfortable encouraging activities self cares when he declines/refuses. Comfortable cooking and preparing simple diabetic friendly meals and snacks. Feel comfortable monitoring him getting in/out of shower as he allows. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
