About who needs care: Mom has dimentia and has had 2 major surgeries in the past 3 months. She needs is working on gaining her strength back. She needs help with washing up, getting dressed, and assistance while she walks with a walker to the living room or bathroom. She needs meals prepared for her and to have her morning medicine given to her (from a prefilled packet with all medicines for the morning into a cup for her to take). She watches TV (game shows, court shows, and soccer). Her day consists of all of the above to get her up for the day, food to eat, care for bathroom needs, and the medication needed. My father also lives in the house and he will be 90 next month. He needs less assistance, but meal prep and getting things he needs throughout the day are also required. About the care needs: I'm looking for a caring individual who has a positive attitude. Happy, cheerful and encouraging. I need someone who is able to assist with changing of adult briefs and bedding as needed. Someone who is able to assist with mom's mobility. I need someone who doesn't mind answering the same question over and over. Dad needs people interaction and loves to talk. Mom is not as much of a talker, but puts her two cents in here and there. Understanding their differences and communicating with them. No specific hobbies. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
