About who needs care: Mother AND father. Both are cognitively impaired; both also hearing-impaired. Mother on meds but is sundowning. Current caregiver is my 68-year-old sister in recovery from major surgery. Med management / supervision, cooking, other appts. My wife and I live 2 1/2 hours away. People need 3 hours per day as attendants. About the care needs: Ability to manage meds. Ability to manage tough couple. Patience. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
