About who needs care: I'm reach out for both of my parents that have been married for 66 years. Mom is 87 and dad is 92, he has macular degeneration and doesn't see well at all. He gets up early, usually takes a shower and makes a piece of toast and coffee, waits for my mom to get up. She sleeps in much later, doesn't get up until close to 11. She has bad arthritis and is always in pain, but continues to try and take care of my dad, cooking meals, cleaning, etc. But I see now that it's getting very hard. About the care needs: Someone caring and patient. My dad can sometimes be difficult, doesn't adapt well to change. He's very smart, both of them still have a great memory. He (tries to watch TV, although it's hard because he can't really see), he likes watching sports and old movies. My mom has always been the caregiver and has taken care of my dad. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
