Good Listener With A Caring Heart!

About the job

My dad is a very independent 93-year-old man. Since my mom passed away, he is lonely. It would be great to find someone who could spend time with him, do some light housekeeping and help him with his meals. Mostly, we need somebody to spend time with him with conversation and encouragement. An ideal day would include greeting my dad with a cherry hello, doing any light chores that he might need, talking about what his meals will be for the day and then just visiting with him. My dad is a retired farmer who has traveled all over the United States. He loves to talk about his farming days, raising his children, and then all of the travels he and my mom did for many years. The caregiver that we need is somebody who has a compassionate heart. This person will just need to have a willing ear to listen to the many stories my dad would love to share. My dad lives in his own home and so there is plenty of parking. There is not direct access to public transit. There are no pets in the home
