About who needs care: This would be for both of my parents, age 90 and 93. My mother is a quilter and my father reads and watches tv. She does all the household chores. He is more sedentary and has difficulty with showering and mobility. My father has occasional incontinance and it is wearing on my mother to keep up with laundry and clean up. They are fairly independent for their ages, but could use help a couple times a week. About the care needs: My father is a stubborn, hardworking farmer who is set in his ways. It would need to be someone with a good sense of humor and upbeat attitude. My mother is easy going, a nurse in earlier years, who is fairly old fashioned. No specialized skills needed- just flexibility and willing to visit and listen to stories. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
