About who needs care: My father has stage four dementia. He is capable of bathing, eating and other household task but needs daily reminders of these. He can feed himself but can't prepare food. He is active and likes to walk and go places and see new things, but doesnt like games or reading. I can clean and cook but I also work full time and have to go to the office two days a week. An ideal day for him would be for someone to come in, help him/remind him of his daily task, get his lunch ready and just listen to him or better yet take him some place like out to lunch or just a small outing. He needs more of a companion care and small daily care, no medical care, no need to help him dress or anything like that. He can still do those task, but needs reminders. Someone who is physically activity because of my dads type of dementia, he prefers to go places and do things instead of reading and games Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
