About who needs care: My dad has metastatic liver cancer, early cognitive dysfunction, and peripheral neuropathy. His mobility is very limited and he uses a walker all the time. He needs help preparing meals and with things around the house on days Im working. Occasionally there may be the need to take him to a doctors appointment, but I try to schedule those things on my day off. He spends 95% of his time at his house because of his mobility issues - hes fallen several times. My main concern is having someone there with him to help him with basic things like meals, to keep him company, and to provide assistance if needed with him getting up and moving. About the care needs: Anyone who is relatively easy going, but not super chatty would be a good fit. He has difficulty with his speech so he doesnt like lengthy conversations as its too challenging for him Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
