About who needs care: Provides daily care for a non-verbal individual with a rare neurological disorder who requires full assistance with activities of daily living. Responsibilities include meeting the individual at bus drop-off, helping them settle in for the day, preparing meals for the evening and following day, maintaining cleanliness of living and sleeping areas due to incontinence, laundering bed linens as needed, and preparing the individual for bedtime, including bathing and changing into sleepwear. About the care needs: Must be Haitian. Understand and speak Haitian creole to communicate with clients parents. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing. This is a Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program with PPL NYC.
