Part Time Companion Needed For 82 Year Old

About the job

We are looking for another person to provide companion care for my husband, a kind, happy 82-year-old. He has Alzheimer's and needs social enrichment, and occasional help encouraging him to drink water or move around. Must have experience working with Alzheimer's patients, as well as being outgoing, good at planning activities, and professional. Ability to speak Spanish is a huge plus- he is bilingual and often switches between English and Spanish. We'd like someone to help keep him engaged with activities for memory such as outings to the library, farmers' market, food preparation, and trips to the community fitness center. Schedule is flexible- we have another amazing caregiver twice a week but would like another person on her off days. Located in Sun City Summerlin, must have reliable transportation. Hours may increase as time goes on.
