The person needing care is a 76-yo female recovering from a stroke. She is ambulatory, but has some vision impairment, so the sitter would essentially be there to guide her to and from the bathroom. Ideally, they would also supervise her using her nebulizer (by reminding her to keep it on her face as she tends to tend it off). They would not need to physically administer any food or medicine. Essentially, the sitter would just be there to make sure she has assistance getting up if needed whilst she generally naps or watches tv, and possibly supervise her using her nebulizer. Experience with elder/dementia care a plus but not required. Sitter would need their own car or other form of transport. We have a dog but he will not be home during sitter sessions.
