About who needs care: This is care for my son's grandfather (my former father in law) His wife of 65+ years recently passed, and they became isolated during the pandemic and have remained so. He is a brilliant man, but has been declining cognitively, as he is on his own. He is easily confused and has gotten lost lately (on drives). He is increasingly irritable. He needs help running errands (groceries, doctor appointments), cleaning the house, preparing meals, remembering to take medicine, and general companionship. He is physically capable and takes active walks. The needs may increase as he ages. About the care needs: Kind Compassionate Patience Bright and engaged in the world. Assertive (this is someone who will not want or think he needs an outsider's care, until he is won over) Driver's license Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
