About who needs care: Mother using a walker, needs help with transfers and using commode. Lives with husband who cannot be counted on to do these tasks safely. She has a history of falls, recovering from broken shoulder and has been in rehab for two months. Ideal day is wake up, remove adult diaper, wash/bathe, get dressed, eat, exercise, transfers if going to bathroom, leave. Then return in evening to get mom ready for bed, with some exercise. About the care needs: someone who can stay busy, not sit around, come in and do what needs to be done and then leave, etc. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
