About who needs care: My mom, 71, was extremely independent, has her own house, had a dog, is a trained pianist and gave lessons out of her home. She is a leukemia survivor. Unfortunately, she had a rare case of meningitis/encephilitis that landed her in the hospital for 2 weeks, followed by another 2 weeks in a rehab center. She lost some mobility and cognisitive abilities, but is progressing day by day. She can speak and understands things, but has issues with short-term memory. She needs help standing up, sitting down, going to the bathroom, bathing, etc. About the care needs: Calm personality. Mom speaks English and French and is very calm and sweet. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
