About who needs care: My mom has severe dementia. She would need assistance with all ADLs. I would want someone who is kind, patient & caring who would keep my mom company, sit with her and read or talk to her, feed and clean up after her. Light household tasks such as doing her laundry when needed. Perhaps, placing her in her transport chair & sitting outside with her weather permitting. About the care needs: Kind, patient, present, engaged. I would want someone who has respect for dignity of life at all stages. No specialized skills are needed. No surgery or care other than hygiene. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
