About who needs care: Hearing and Vision challenges; Primarily immobile - uses walker to move around; not able to walk up and down stairs. Does't want to be a burden on others and is stubborn about getting help. Needs to take medication every morning and evening - needs help to ensure that pills are correct and gets food during the day (brunch; snack and liquids) - we will provide dinner. She likes birds and sports (Wisconsin football, basketball and baseball) - but primarily likes to rest/nap as she gets very frustrated with the fact that she cannot hear or see anymore. I primarily work from home so need help during the day while I am at work. About the care needs: Seeking a caregiver that is kind and supportive - allows her to just sit and offers help/encouragement with getting onto the stairlift to take a shower every other day .. and to make sure her nails (hands/feet) are trimmed, help putting on socks and ensuring she has a mid-morning meal .. and available snacks for the afternoon. Most important need someone who is kind and patient (strong but not bossy). Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
