About who needs care: I have a compression fracture on the spine (L2 area). The doctor does not want me to bend or lift things. I also have statis dermatitis on my lower legs and will need help applying cream and changing compression stockings. I am able to get around but need some help with housekeeping, occasional transportation to dr or grocery store and laundry. I will need my caregiver to speak up and talk slowly because I am hearing impaired. I enjoy gardening most of all but have other varied interests as well. My ideal day is one where I can continue to take care of myself and my home responsibilities. My ideal morning at this time is one where I've had a weekly shower, there is food in the refrigerator to prepare, and the laundry has been done, In a nutshell, I need an extra hand so that I don't bend or twist my back as it continues to heal. About the care needs: My ideal caregiver would be patient, caring, and willing to let me do the things that I am able to do. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
