I'm looking for live-in home care for my mother in her 70s. Some light tidying up is involved. Some help needed with bathing. Additional responsibilities include meal preparation. Duties include providing companionship and social interaction. Part of your responsibilities will include running errands. You'll be responsible for transporting to/from appointments. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker and CPR / first-aid trained. Mom had a critical infection in early December; but she went from "might not survive the night" to "we're almost ready to discharge her" in a week. While she was in a medically induced coma, she suffered a small stroke. She had aphasia initially upon waking, but seems to be all there mentally now with speech therapy and physical therapy. We need someone to be there 24/7 for her first few weeks back home.
