About who needs care: My mom is in good health but not very active. Mostly she watches tv and too much news! She lives with my sister, who could use some help taking her on errands, making meals here and there and providing companionship while she works and on the weekends (so my sister can be away from the house without worrying about Mom's safety). About the care needs: An ideal caregiver would be kind and friendly and trustworthy. They would need to have patience and also be willing to push my Mom to get out and about more. Someone who could find activities to keep her occupied. She does like to go to the movies and to go out with friends for lunch though she does not initiate much - her friends reach out. Sister could use help with transportation. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
