About who needs care: I have chronic pain & inflammation along with PTSD. I'm an artist and easy going - I'm also direct and know what I need (which is extensive & I need help remembering) The structure of the work day would be; 1) give water, meds, breakfast (encouraging/reminding diet approved foods/meals) 2) cleaning while I get ready in the morning 3) encouraging stretches, exercises, and going for a walk 4) helping run errands/ take me to an appointment/ complete personal to do list like make phone calls or other adult stuff - throughout the day be watchful for falls especially during walks, reminders like drinking water and following treatment plans, preparing healthy meals About the care needs: I'm looking for a caregiver who is good with; keeping schedules & doing reminders, finding something to do on their own not needing verbal instructions, encouraging a depressed person in pain to exercise or someone nauseous eat a healthy meal. I am quiet and prefer to give directions through writing so it is best if you don't need verbal directions, I have an Aide Guide that has most of the information needed about myself and the job, though I encourage clarifying questions and advocating what's best for ones self. Someone with arm/shoulder/back problems is not a good fit due to my bed needing to be turned over when changing the sheets. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, and mobility assistance.
