About who needs care: **In-Home Caregiver Needed for Mother with Advanced Multiple Sclerosis (Full-Time, 7 Days/Week)** We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced caregiver to provide **full-time in-home support** for my mother, who is living with **highly advanced Multiple Sclerosis**. She requires **complete assistance with all activities of daily living** and needs someone who is patient, dependable, and comfortable providing total-care support. **About My Mom** My mothers MS is at an advanced stage. She is no longer able to perform any tasks independently and requires hands-on support throughout the day. She is mentally aware, but her physical ability is extremely limited. Our priority is ensuring she is treated with dignity, comfort, and kindness at all times. **Care Needs Include:** * **Feeding:** She must be fully fed for all meals and assisted with drinks throughout the day. * **Bathroom Assistance:** Total assistance is required for toileting, including helping her to and from the bathroom or managing alternative toileting methods when needed. * **Changing & Hygiene:** She requires full support with changing, bathing, oral care, incontinence care, and maintaining personal hygiene. * **Mobility Assistance:** She cannot walk or stand independently and needs help with transfers, repositioning, and preventing pressure sores. * **Medication Reminders:** Assisting with medication schedules (no medical administration beyond reminders, unless certified). * **Companionship:** Providing emotional support, conversation, and helping maintain a calm and positive environment. **Schedule** This is a **7-day-a-week position**, with coverage needed from **morning through evening** each day. We are open to discussing split shifts, rotating schedules, or a team of caregivers to ensure full coverage. **Ideal Caregiver Qualifications** * Experience with **advanced MS**, paralysis, or total-care clients * Strong ability with safe transfers, mobility equipment, and incontinence care * Patience, empathy, and a gentle bedside manner * Reliability and comfort with a long-term position * Willingness to follow established care routines * CNA, HHA, or similar certifications are preferred but not required for the right experience level **Home Environment** She lives in a quiet, supportive home with family involvement. We are committed to working closely with her caregiver(s) to keep her safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
