20 Smiles, 20 Minutes of Activity, 20 Minutes of Socialization These are the minimum for aging well. Sadly, my mom isn't getting them, and with two busy kids and a full-time job, I can't always help. Mum is 77 and lives on our property. She is physically healthy but has dementia and needs companion care. Top consideration: whether you're a match for her personality. Mum needs to stay active and engaged, but has been withdrawn when we've had temporary caregivers. The right person will bring her out of her shell. Schedule: flexible, 3 sessions per week, 4 hours each. Responsibilities: medication reminders, light housekeeping with Mum's help, shopping, visits to parks/libraries/museums. If you are willing to find/participate in senior center activities, that is a plus. Please tell us how you would help Mum reach the 3 goals above.
