Hands-on Care Needed For My Father In Durham

About the job

I'm looking for someone to assist my father Gary with basic daily tasks, including light meal preparation, medication management, household help, and transfers from his bed/chair to the wheelchair/walker. The household help consists of helping with Gary's laundry and unloading clean dishes from the dishwasher. The most important duties are helping Gary with his transfers and safety when navigating the bathroom, as he is a fall risk. When he is able to walk, it's important to follow him with a wheelchair in case he can't continue. The ideal helper would encourage him to put on his physical therapy boots and enjoy some fresh air on the porch when weather permits. Preferably looking for people who can come on a given day of the week rather than one time visits.
