About who needs care: Recently broke her right arm. She needs to have the right arm immobilized for 2-3 months. Needs assistance with standing, walking, sitting, getting up from a seated position or getting into a chair. Needs assistance getting into and out of bed. Needs help getting dressed and undressed. Needs help going to the bathroom and bathing. Needs to be reminded to take her meds. Her day consists of getting out of bed to go to the bathroom between 6-7 a.m. She sits in a glider rocker chair most of the day except for assisted short walks (20 feet at a time) She goes to bed typically two times during the day to nap for 45 minutes. Then she gets up and goes back to her chair. Bedtime is around 8 p.m. About the care needs: Female caregiver. Caregiver should be strong enough to partially lift my 117 lb mom into and out of bed. Patience will be a desirable trait because she is not fast, cant hear very well and her short term memory has greatly diminished. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
