My mother has dementia and lives in a memory care facility. She just transitioned from assisted living to memory care and her transition has been quite hard. She is only in her 60s and physically has no issues, unfortunately just her memory is failing her. She's sad and lonely and we are looking for someone to just go hang out with her, take her on walks, draw with her. Just be a friend in this hard time while I am at work and cannot be there for her. A short walk at beaver lake, bird watching, maybe visiting an animal shelter to pet some animals, or the wildlife center. Have lunch at her facility, do some painting. She LOVES to paint. Go on walks. Those are her two huge things she still loves. Other things she loves animals, birds, flowers. Any kind of art making. We're looking for someone who has some experience with people with dementia. Who understands that they can get frustrated or even a bit angry at times. Someone who is compassionate to that disease and can navigate it with kindness and patience. She lives at a memory care facility and there is parking there. We would like this person to have their own means of transportation She does not have pets where she lives currently
