About who needs care: Ive used a wheelchair since age 10 due to spina-bifida. I had a stroke 19 months ago that has kept me bedridden until recently. I need help with a hoyer lift to transfer me between bed and chair. Since the stroke I use a catheter and a colostomy bag. My hope is to gain back enough strength to transfer myself between my chair and car to drive again like I did before the stroke. About the care needs: I weigh apx. 180-200 lbs. so I need someone who can man-handle that much weight since Ive lost most of my strength lying in bed the past almost 20 months. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
