About who needs care: Dad is pretty self-sufficient but needs help with cooking lunch, putting on his compression socks, and overnight company in case of an emergency. About the care needs: Dad likes to talk. He needs someone who isn't too boisterous as he wears hearing aids and sharp sounds or loud laughter can be uncomfortable. Dad goes to wound care twice a week but we can schedule visits around his appointments. Usually we don't need to change the dressing since it's almost healed. Dad does have thin skin which can tear, so knowing how to bandage delicate skin is a plus. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
