Hands-on Care Needed For My Father In Kansas City

About who needs care: My dad is in stroke recovery. He is moving out of Acute Inpatient Rehab to an apartment setting with family present most of the time. We will have Home Health for nursing, PT, OT and Speech/swallowing therapy. He has expressive and receptive aphasia. He also has difficulty speaking and swallowing. He currently has a PEG tube for medications and feedings, and is working on his swallowing strength. He also has mobility issues due to right-side weakness. We have a sit-to-stand machine and a wheelchair. He is able to do stand pivot transfers. We need support to meet personal needs. About the care needs: We are looking for a positive person who has a sense of humor, and treats my dad with respect and kindness. Someone with post-stroke, specifically aphasia, experience would be a plus! Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
