About who needs care: Had spinal surgery about 2 years ago and has been wheel chair bound since then. Can stand and walk a little with walker, but has little feeling in his hands and feet. He is also diabetic, which has been well-controlled for more than 5 years. 3 weeks ago he had a pace-maker put in and has experienced some discomfort with that. He is bipolar. His doctor took him off lithium about 2 years ago while investigating the spine issue and it was not replaced. In the last 7 days he has been exhibiting signs of mania and is currently hospitalized to get stable. The facility he is at likely will discharge him and we are looking for in-home care support. His wife is the primary care giver. About the care needs: tough love ambulatory assistance provider with background in mental health Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
