About who needs care: An individual with Cerebral Palsy who uses a powered wheelchair for mobility and other equipment in the home. I am an easy-going person who likes things detail-oriented. I enjoy painting, knitting on a machine, and playing cards. I use the computer for everything. About the care needs: I am seeking a reliable and punctual candidate to assist me with transportation to appointments. The ideal candidate must communicate clearly in English and understand both written and verbal instructions. A background check, including fingerprinting, is required, along with completion of a simple training course. A valid driver's license and a vehicle are necessary. Responsibilities include transfers, dressing, toileting, showers, cooking, medication setup, household chores, running errands, and accompanying me to appointments. Familiarity with range of motion exercises, skincare, and medical equipment like a power chair and Hoyer lift is preferred. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, light housekeeping, feeding, and mobility assistance.
