About who needs care: Both of my parents need some support. My father has early onset alzheimer's but is pretty functional. My mother has arthritis and her short term memory is getting bad. A structured day would be ideal, where you can help prepare some meals, maybe take them grocery shopping or out to a meal, and make sure the house is clean. About the care needs: Someone who is outgoing and likes to listen to old stories, and who would enjoy helping an elderly couple manage the later years of their lives. They need someone who can drive them to the grocery or take them to a restaurant. Experience with patients with memory issues would a plus. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
