About who needs care: My dad is pretty independent for 91 years old. He likes to row around the lake that we live on, and he enjoys short walks. He still performs most daily tasks himself such as showering and laundry. Our largest problem for him is that his wife went into a memory care facility, and he is extremely lonely and feeling hopeless and helpless. He cant drive because he cant see. He also doesn't hear well. He needs companionship and someone to run simple errands like taking him to the grocery store or accompanying him to go out to breakfast. About the care needs: I would like to find someone patient, with a good sense of humor, and the ability to listen. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
