About who needs care: Many underlying conditions - Diabetic, back issues, very difficult to walk long distances, stable liver cancer, recurrent prostate cancer, history of stroke. Needs assistance while my husband and I are at work with laundry, lunch, hygiene, linens change, shower, occasional transportation, memory decline/beginning of mild dementia About the care needs: Cannot be mousy, needs to be firm enough, in a loving way, to have him do the things he needs to do. Need to be able to lift him if he falls (he weighs 180lbs). We have an RN that comes in once a month to check on him, in addition to a papramedic that can be called to evaluate him if necessary to try and avoid a hospital Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
