I'm looking for hands-on care for my wife in her late 60s. She has been diagnosed with fronto-temporal dementia. She is a pleasant person who is quiet and follows our routines. I'm looking for a caring and compassionate companion for her. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker and CPR / first-aid trained. Monitor and assist with Georgia's daily routines: Verify shower safety, assist with dressing in the morning after showering, prompt to go to the bathroom. Possible walks, TV, or computer usage. Also important to me, is having the opportunity to take a break from caregiver duty for some mornings or longer. We are located in a Continuing Care RetirementCommunity with options in activities, if needed.
