Better Living Affinity is a small non-medical home care agency in the Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti area. We are hiring two caregivers, one for a wheelchair client and one for an elderly couple. Each caregiver will be assigned to just one client. The wheelchair client is an older gentleman who uses a manual wheelchair. Duties include basic personal care, slide-board transfers, help with compression socks, light housekeeping, simple meal prep, medication reminders (no med administration), and general safety. You will ride along in the client's car for some appointments and use your own car for errands when needed, with mileage paid. The schedule for this case is Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The pay rate is 16 dollars per hour. The elderly couple case is strictly task-based. Duties include light personal care as needed, meal prep, dishes, light cleaning and laundry, and keeping the home tidy and safe. No companionship is required and no phone usage while on shift. The schedule for this case is Monday and Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The pay rate is 18 dollars per hour. For both roles, we are looking for caregivers with at least two years of professional experience, a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, the ability to pass a background check and two professional references.
