About who needs care: My mother has an advanced neurological disorder and is quadriplegic. My father is her primary caregiver and needs some time off a couple days per week (has schedule flexibility). My mother spends her time in bed or in a wheelchair. She enjoys conversation, "walks" around the neighborhood, audio books, and movies. She wakes up mid-morning and naps occasionally in the afternoon. About the care needs: The ideal caregiver enjoys a mix of chatting and quiet time. Light food prep is needed. Other family in the house during the day may include my father, my husband, two young kids and me. We have a nice dog but can crate her as needed. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing. Caregiver is subject to background check, including CORI.
