About who needs care: My aunt has a few health issues including a lifelong eating disorder that has led to bone density issues, back pain, anxiety, etc. She needs help bathing a couple times a week, and general company. She loves watching the news, reading magazines, she is a great conversationalist, a great sense of humor, very friendly and a social butterfly in the right environment. Her and my mother, will be moving back to Boston from Florida. My mom cannot take on some of the tasks listed above, which is why we need the help. About the care needs: We are looking for somebody with a lot of patience and able to listen. Ester can get frazzled and anxious and needs somebody able to stay calm and be non-judgmental. Somebody who is kind, warm, has a good sense of humor. Specialized skills: Bathing and getting in and out of the shower safely are the main concerns. Anybody with skills around anxiety and mental health would be great. Specific interests, I would say my aunt Esterlee is very passionate about politics and loves to watch CNN and MSNBC and talk about it. She loves to learn. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
