About who needs care: This is for my father, and he has dementia but is physically in pretty good shape and able. My mother is his primary care giver and needs to be able to get back into her community interests, self care, etc. He can't be left alone for very long at all any more, so she has pushed much of this to the wayside. He loves watching birds and wildlife (easily done from inside their house as well as outside) and tending to his plants. About the care needs: ideally someone who understands/has experience with dementia. My dad enjoys being sociable and telling silly jokes, going on errands and also watching tv, etc. Services needed include: companionship.
