Companion Care Needed For My Mother In Lexington

About who needs care: My mother is in the middle stages of dementia, and is currently in a very happy and childlike stage. We're looking for someone to keep her company (go on walks, take her to the library etc.) while my father gets out of the house for a few hours each week. We are giving him a gift of an exercise class for Jan-March and arranging care for my mom. The class will either be Mon or Thurs afternoons. As my mother's condition progresses, we'll likely need more consistent care. About the care needs: We're looking for someone who is gentle, patient, and hopefully funny, as my mother was always, and remains even in her current condition, quite funny. She will likely be resistant, and confused as to why someone is coming to hang out with her, so we will present you as a new friend. Services needed include: companionship.
