About who needs care: My parents live independently. Driving is my number one concern. Someone who could help with getting them to doctors appointments. Meal prepping is my second concern. My father has dementia and my mom has congestive heart failure. They are mostly ok, but I can not be back and forth from the city to the south shore, that often, especially on weekdays, as I work full time. About the care needs: Someone patient and ideally with dementia care experience for my dad. Someone who is also flexible. My mom can be very particular so she will not work well with someone who can not be amenable. As time goes by, I worry that they will also need someone who would be able to physically assist them if they fall. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
