About who needs care: 78 years old. Diagnosed with dementia. COPD. Requires oxygen 24/7. Limited mobility. Somewhat limited use of her left arm due to stroke about 5 years ago and more recently, a fall that broke her arm in March 2025. Needs assistance standing and dressing herself. She loses balance easily. Needs some assistance in using the toilet. Can feed herself. No issues with communication. Has a pacemaker. 102 lbs, 5 foot tall. About the care needs: My, mother is generally very sweet and easy going. She does get confused at times and becomes frustrated with herself and that depresses her. Special skills would only require someone to be able to lift her from the bed and/or chair/couch (with a gait belt). And to help her into and out of the shower bench. We would like to find someone to come possibly twice weekly to bath her and simply stay with her for 6-8 hours to relieve my wife (her daughter-in-Law), who is her primary caregiver. Most recent health problem was a broken arm in March of this year. It has healed. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
