About who needs care: She has the onset of dementia and needs motivation and reminders to bathe, take her medication, eat and take care of household chores. She loves to play cards and Yahtzee. Ideally someone would come in the morning, remind her to take a shower, pick up her bedroom/bathroom, eat breakfast, do a load or two of laundry and maybe play cards or just sit and chat, then make sure she has lunch ready before they leave. She also has two small dogs that are friendly, but one of them is getting older and has some issues. I live in Oklahoma, but as far as I know, she is capable of doing things on her own when reminded. She is on the bigger side and slow going, though. My father passed away in 2015 and my sister in 2022. So, she lives alone, but we have a very large extended family who would be available to help when needed. About the care needs: My mom was raised Catholic and is somewhat traditional. She's very friendly and gets along well with most people. She likes to play cards/games and watch Judge Judy, Family Feud, etc. Someone who likes dogs is a must. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
