About who needs care: My grandmother is 82 years old and immobile. She's in stage 5 of Alzheimer's and unfortunately regressing quickly. My grandpa is also 82 and takes care of her with my help. I work weekend nights at a restaurant and that's when he needs to most help. I'm looking for someone who can help move my grandmother around (gently) and help get her into bed while I'm not home. Helping with her exercises is always a huge plus as we're trying to fight off the last 2 stages. She loves bird watching, sewing, snow white, and coca cola. She's got 5 children, 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild that she loves dearly. About the care needs: A caregiver for my grandma should be able to lift at least 50lbs without assistance, be patient and understanding- she is quite stubborn. Preferably someone who truly loves what they do and loves who they do it for. Any experience with late stage Alzheimer's is greatly appreciated. Services needed include: transportation, and mobility assistance.
