About who needs care: As I stated previously, my 19-year-old son has a dual diagnosis of Down sydrome and autism. He doesn't require constant supervision, but he cannot stay at home alone. We are investigating ways to provide care for our son while we get away for a couple of nights. He does receive Medicaid (if that has any relevance). About the care needs: A caregiver would not need specialized skills, but an easy going personality with some flexibility in planning would be a plus. A caregiver would also have to administeroral medications. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
