About who needs care: My mom moved in with me in September after having a stroke. In October, she had another stroke. She currently is being seen byFranciscan home healthcare coming out for her therapy, but I am also interested in getting her help with daily living activities. She needs help with showering, meals, and general assistance with mobility and bathroom needs. About the care needs: She likes to joke and eat lol! She is religious, likes to watch crime shows and play card/ice/board games. She will need help mostly for safety and cleaning purposes in the bathroom. She will need help dressing and undressing the lower extremities. My biggest concern besides safely moving around the house is her lack of speech since the stroke. She used to talk, laugh, joke, a lot more. Now, if we allowed her, she would just shake her head yes and no to everything. The brain processing is slow since the stroke. Services needed include: transportation, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
